Security

Here is what protects your data in Atlas today, and what is still missing.

Stored in Zurich
Your books and the documents you upload are stored with Supabase, in the Zurich region of Amazon Web Services (eu-central-2). We read that region from the settings of Atlas's own production project.
Each company sees only its own books
Every business table in the database is protected by row-level security, so a query only returns rows of the companies you belong to. Automated database tests sign in as one company and try to read another's data, and they must fail.
No AI model reads your documents inside Atlas
Atlas sorts documents and reads supplier bills with fixed rules applied to the text layer of the PDF. No language model is involved and Atlas uses no AI provider. Scans and photos are kept as they are, and Atlas does not read them.
An assistant you connect acts as you
When we connect an AI assistant to your Atlas, it signs in with your account and gets exactly your permissions. It never holds a key that would let it go around them.
A person approves what an assistant proposes
A booking an assistant proposes waits in the inbox until someone approves it, unless you have allowed that kind of action up to a CHF amount. Changing a supplier's bank account, whether you register one or replace it, always needs a person.
Encrypted in transit
getatlas.ch is served over HTTPS only, and tells browsers to refuse an unencrypted connection to it for two years.

What we do not claim yet

Atlas has no security certification and no penetration test report, and we have no standard data processing agreement to send you yet. If your company needs one of them, write to privacy@getatlas.ch and we will tell you where it stands.

If you have a security questionnaire to fill in, send it to privacy@getatlas.ch.
